Alzheimer Europe is looking to recruit a new Project Communications Officer

Alzheimer Europe is looking to immediately fill the following Luxembourg-based position: 1 Project Communications Officer (m/f) (Full time), on a permanent basis

As the Project Communications Officer, you will:

  • Lead the communication activities of the Neuronet project funded by the Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI)
    • Communicate and disseminate activities for Neuronet (website updates, newsletter, twitter feed)
    • Organise annual networking and communication event
    • Map existing communication activities for IMI projects
    • Organise and chair communication experts community
  • Redesign, develop and update the Alzheimer Europe website
  • Disseminate and communicate results of EU funded research projects of Alzheimer Europe via project specific websites, printed material, social media and videos
  • Support the communication of medical and research developments to the wider dementia community and the general public via the organisation’s newsletter and website

You should have the following experience and qualities:

  • Completed university education and/or significant experience in a similar position (a university education in communication or journalism will be considered as an advantage)
  • A perfect knowledge of English (knowledge of other European languages will be a plus)
  • Experience of website development and design
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet applications (experience with publishing tools such as Photoshop and InDesign will be viewed as an asset)
  • Excellent writing and communication skills including communicating scientific concepts in easy-to-understand language
  • Experience of social media and multimedia content production (videos, graphics)
  • A keen sense of responsibility, initiative and ability to work in a small team
  • Willingness to travel abroad for project meetings, scientific conferences and other networking opportunities
