About the role
This exciting new role in our Research directorate will lead the management of existing international joint research initiatives and take a leading role in the development of new international research collaborations. Representing the charity, this role will influence and engage with partners in the UK and internationally to ensure Parkinson’s UK leads the search for better treatments and a cure.
What you’ll do
- Provide high quality project management for existing major international joint research initiatives
- Manage budgets, risk, project oversight, reporting, and stakeholder management for existing and new strategic projects
- Maintain existing and establish new working relationships across a variety of international organisations
- Communicate the purpose, scope and impact of projects to a wide variety of audiences
What you’ll bring
- Scientific knowledge, at the doctoral level, preferably with a specialisation in some aspect of the science of neurodegenerative disease
- At least five years’ post-doctorate experience working in relevant UK-based and international scientific collaborations, including in leadership roles, in the field of Parkinson’s disease or closely related fields
- Ability to influence and engage internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of policy relating to conduct of research in the UK and internationally
- Knowledge of data driven research and regulatory science and the regulations concerning the use of data in research
